An Overview of Helcim Invoicing

Use Helcim Invoicing to create itemized invoices, calculate taxes, and have customers review and pay for purchases online. By using Online Invoices, you can add items, set taxes, and calculate totals, then send the invoice to the customer to get paid, or use the Virtual Terminal to apply a payment.
Before creating your first invoices it is recommended that you review your invoice and email settings to ensure the invoice fields will populate correctly. Here are three things you should review before creating your first invoice:
Customize the look and feel of invoices
If you are just getting started with Helcim Invoicing, start by reviewing the Invoice Theme Designer to design the look and feel of your invoices. You are in control of what information is included in the invoice and how the visual design of the invoice.
Adjust your email settings
To keep you and your customers informed of when new invoices are created, and payments are due, your Helcim Account includes automated emails that are turned on by default. You can review the email settings and content through the Settings- Email Settings section of your account to set up the email alerts and notifications. These are the emails that we recommend you review before creating your first invoice:
- New Invoice
- Invoice Paid
- Invoice Due Reminder - Customer Portal
- New Invoice Public Note - Customer Portal
- New Invoice Public Note - Online Invoice View
You can also set up automated invoice reminders to your customers by adjusting the Invoice Settings In your Helcim account. Navigate to Settings > Invoice Settings > Customer Invoice Settings. For more information, click here.
Review invoice settings
You can set up your default invoice options under the Settings section of your Helcim Account by clicking on Settings and Invoice Settings under Merchandising and Invoicing. Adjusting these settings first ensures your invoices have the correct due by date and customer settings before you begin creating invoices.
Once you have customized the look and feel of your invoices, start by creating your first invoice to see how easy it is to add existing customers and products to a new order.
Finally, Helcim Invoicing communicates directly with Helcim Payments, making it easy to process a payment for any of your outstanding invoices.
