Using Full Card Numbers
Please note that merchants cannot send full card numbers via API, including this direct integration with WooCommerce, unless they have obtained an exception.

Step 1 | Helcim Commerce API Configuration

  1. Login to your Helcim account
  2. Click on Integrations in the menu on the left-hand side of your screen
  3. Click on API Access
  4. Click on New API Access in the top-right
  5. Create a configuration using the settings below
  6. Click Save
  7. Copy the generated Helcim API Token (use your token, the one on screenshot below is just an example)

Status: Active
Nickname: WooCommerce

API Security
Whenever creating an API access token, we only recommend granted the minimal access required for the integration. A compromised API token with full access can have greatly impact your Helcim Commerce data.

Transactions: Process
Terminal: Check the terminal (merchant account) you wish to use
Void: On
Refund: On
Customers/Orders/Products/Subscriptions/etc: leave empty

Step 2 | Terminal Number

  1. Click on Payments in the left-hand menu
  2. Click on Terminals
  3. Click on the terminal you want to use for the integration
  4. Note the Terminal number next to your active terminal as it is required for the WooCommerce settings in the plugin.

Step 3 | WooCommerce Settings

  1. Install the plugin, or download it and extract it to: /wp-contents/plugins/ directory https://en-ca.wordpress.org/plugins/helcim-commerce-for-woocommerce/
  2. Configure the module by selecting WooCommerce and Settings on the right-hand side of your screen.Click on Payments from the tab in the middle of your screen.Scroll down to Payment Methods where you will see HelcimCommerce listed.
  3. Click the Enable/Disable box to enable this gateway
  4. Select either "Test Mode" or leave it empty for live transaction.
  5. Enter the title to display on the payment selection portion of the checkout page (required)
  6. Select "Direct Integration" as the payment integration method
  7. Leave the Helcim.js token blank (not used with this integration mode)
  8. Enter your Helcim Commerce Account ID
  9. Enter your API token
  10. Select either "Purchase" or "Pre-Auth" as the transaction type (see note below)
  11. Enter the terminal ID you wish to use. (See step 2)
  12. Enter the description your customers will see on the checkout page for this payment option (required field or WooCommerce will not work)
  13. Choose whether you would like to display the Helcim logo on the checkout page
  14. Process a test transaction to ensure that the plugin is working before switching to live production.

Please note that for pre-auth credit card transactions, you will need to manually login to Helcim Commerce and "capture" the transactions in order to receive funds.
