Setting up WooCommerce integration using the Helcim.js Method

If you are using a plugin version below 2.0.0 please click here.
Step 1 | API Configuration
- Login to your Helcim account
- Click on Integrations in the left menu
- Click on API Access in the left sub-menu
- Click on New API Access in the top-right hand corner of your screen
- Create a configuration using the settings below
- Click Save
- Copy the generated API token (use your token, the one on screenshot below is just an example)
Settings
Status: Active
Name: WooCommerce
Token: Generated by the system
Transaction Processing: />Void: />Refund: />Terminal: please select terminal (s) you will be using. (Do not choose DEMO unless using a DEMO account for testing purposes)
Invoices: Check View and Modify
Customers, Orders, Products, Recurring Plans, Subscriptions and Online Store: Leave these boxes unchecked
Permissions
Please ensure that Invoices View and Modify are checked for the integration to work as intended.
Step 2 | Helcim.js Configuration
- Click on Integrations in the left menu
- Click on Helcim.js Configurations in the left sub-menu
- Click on New Configuration in the top-right
- Create a configuration using the settings below
Status: Active
Include XML on Response: On Name: WooCommerceTest Mode: No
Currency: please select one
Transaction Type: Card Purchase or Preauth
Terminal: please select oneEnforce hashing: No
Amount Minimum: 0
Amount Maximum: 0
Require Captcha: Yes
Captcha Score Threshold: Must be greater than 0.01 and less than 0.99 - Click Save
- Copy the generated Helcim.js token and Secret Key (Be sure to copy your own token, the one in the screenshot below is just an example)
Step 3 | Terminal Number
- Click on Payments in the menu bar on the left-hand side of your screen
- Click on Terminals and select the terminal that you are using for the integration
- Note the Terminal number next to your active terminal as it is required for the WooCommerce settings in the plugin.
Step 4 | WooCommerce Settings
Install the plugin, or download it and extract it to: /wp-contents/plugins/ directory https://en-ca.wordpress.org/plugins/helcim-commerce-for-woocommerce/
- Configure the module by selecting WooCommerce and Settings on the right-hand side of your screen.
Click on Payments from the tab in the middle of your screen.
Scroll down to Payment Methods where you will see HelcimCommerce listed.
- Click the Enable/Disable box to enable this gateway
- Test Mode - click checkbox for ON or OFF
- Enter the title to display on the payment selection portion of the checkout page
- Select Helcim.js for Payment Method
- Enter Helcim.js Token if Payment Method is Helcim.js
- Enter Account ID (Helcim Account ID)
- Enter Secret Key (Helcim Secret Key)
- Choose between Purchase and Pre-auth for transaction type
- Enter Terminal ID (Helcim Commerce Terminal ID)
- Enter the description your customers will see on the checkout page for this payment option (THIS IS A REQUIRED FIELD)
- Choose whether or not you would like to show the Helcim logo on the checkout page
- Select Require Captcha if also set in Helcim.js setup
