# Set your account's time zone

When you first sign up for your Helcim account, your time zone is automatically set based on your business address. This article will show you how to change that setting if needed, which is essential for making sure your transaction logs and batch settlements are perfectly synced with your business's schedule.

## How to set your time zone

Setting your time zone is quick and easy. Just follow these steps:

1. [Log in](https://hsso.helcim.com/login) to your Helcim account.
2. Open the **All Tools** menu.
3. Click **Settings**. The **My business** menu will already be selected for you.
4. Select the **Preferences** tab.
5. Click the dropdown menu under **Timezone** and select your correct time zone from the list.

That's it! Your selection will be saved automatically.
