Accepting a Payment from the Point-Of-Sale

Once you have added all the products to the cart, or keyed in the dollar amount desired, you can select the drop-down menu at the top of the cart to confirm your payment method.
Next, confirm the payment method.
- Credit/Debit: Proceed with accepting the payment using your Helcim Card Reader Card
- Manual Entry: Enter the cardholders information to process the payment
- Cash: Confirm the cash received
- Check: Enter the Check Number
- Misc.: You can enter a note regarding the payment
- External Credit: Enter the external approval code for reference
- External Debit: Enter the external debit approval code for reference
You can now select Charge to complete the transaction.
Depending on the payment method you have selected you may be prompted to enter additional details.
You'll see a confirmation screen confirming that the payment has been processed. Select one of the receipt options to issue a record of the payment to your customer.
You can now select Close and move to the next transaction, or select one of the receipt options to issue a record of the payment to your customer.
Mobile/Tablet App or Smart Terminal POS
Once you have added all of your products to the cart, or keyed in the dollar amount desired, you can click on Review to see the Subtotal details.
From here, you can click on the credit card icon on the bottom left (beside 'Charge') to change the payment method.
If you would like to change the payment method, you can click on the credit card icon beside the 'charge' button, to see the options below:
Depending on the payment method you have selected you may be prompted to enter additional details.
- Card Manual Entry: Enter the cardholders information to process the payment
- Pre-Authorization: Run a pre-authorize transaction rather than a purchase.
- Cash: Confirm the cash received
- Other: Alternative forms of payment that you would like to note for records and reports.
Once you have selected a payment method, select Charge to complete the transaction.
You'll see a confirmation screen confirming that the payment has been processed. Select one of the receipt options to issue a record of the payment to your customer.
