Processing a card payment
The most common way to accept payments is with a credit or debit card. Here's how to do it:
Enter the total amount of the transaction or select the items being purchased.
Select Review, and then Charge
The customer can then tap their card or insert it into the chip reader.
If required, the customer will enter their PIN.
The Smart Terminal will process the payment and provide a confirmation.
Processing a manual card entry payment
Sometimes, a customer might not be able to use their card. In these situations, you can manually enter the card details:
After entering the transaction amount, select Review
Select the card icon in the bottom-left corner.
Select Card Manual Entry, then Charge.
Carefully enter the customer's card number, expiry date, and CVV.
Enter the customer’s name, billing address, and postal or zip code.
Select Charge again.
Tip: only use manual entry when necessary, as it has higher processing fees and security risks. |
