This guide will walk you through the steps of processing a transaction, from preparing for the sale to completing the payment.

Prepare for the transaction
Open the Helcim POS app on your iPhone.
Enter the transaction amount using the number pad, or select Items to choose a saved product to add to the cart.
Process the payment
Tap Review to open the cart.
Add any applicable taxes or discounts.
Select the Card icon to choose a payment method.
Select Tap to Pay.
Instruct the customer to hold their contactless card or device horizontally near the top of your iPhone, over the contactless symbol.
Wait for the confirmation message indicating that the payment was successful.
Provide the customer with a receipt, if needed.

Ensure that the customer is using a contactless card or a device with a digital wallet (like Apple Pay or Google Pay).
Check if the customer’s card is a debit card that requires a PIN to work. If so, they’ll need to use a different card with contactless capability.
Make sure the customer is holding their card horizontally, or their device close enough to the iPhone's contactless reader.
If it still doesn't read, have them center the card chip over the notch on the device.
If the issue persists, try processing the payment with a different card or payment method.
Is there a limit to the amount I can accept with Tap to Pay on iPhone?
The transaction limit for Tap to Pay on iPhone is $2499.
Keep in mind that card issuers may have other limits that may change how much a customer can pay for in one transaction.
Do I need to be connected to the internet to use Tap to Pay on iPhone?
Yes, you need an internet connection (Wi-Fi or cellular data) to process Tap to Pay on iPhone transactions.
