As your business grows, you may need to update your store's policies. While you can add policies during the initial setup of your Online Checkout store, this guide will show you where to find and edit them afterward in your My Business settings.

Finding your store policies


Your store policies have a new home in a more general settings area, making them easy to access at any time.

  1. From your Helcim dashboard, open the All Tools menu in the top-left corner.

  2. Select Settings.

  3. Under the My Business heading in the left-side menu, select Policies.

It's important to note that at this time, the policies set on this page currently only apply to Helcim Online Checkout.

Editing your return policy


A good return policy protects both your business and your customers. Be sure to include information such as the return period and your terms and conditions.

  • To edit your return policy, simply click into the Policy Details text box under the Return policy heading and make your changes.

  • You can also click the Clear button to erase the existing text and start fresh.

Editing your shipping policy


Your shipping policy helps set clear expectations for customers to ensure a positive experience. You can include details like processing times, shipping costs, and the regions you ship to.

  • To edit the text, click into the text box under the Shipping policy heading.

  • You can also control whether the policy is visible on your storefront by using the Show policy toggle.

Editing your privacy policy


A privacy policy is a statement that discloses how your business collects, uses, and manages your customer's data.

  • To edit your privacy policy, click into the text box under the Privacy policy heading.

  • Just like the shipping policy, you can use the Show policy toggle to control its visibility on your Online Checkout store.

FAQs

Do these policies apply to my in-person or Point-of-Sale transactions?

No, the policies configured in this section currently only apply to Online Checkout.

I updated my shipping/privacy policy, but it's not showing up on my store. What's wrong?

Make sure the Show policy toggle is switched on for the policy you want to display. If this is turned off, the policy will be saved in your settings but hidden from customers.
