Inventory is cash sitting on a shelf, and you need to know exactly which items are driving revenue and which ones are collecting dust. The Product Sales page is your dedicated item-performance dashboard in Helcim. It gives you a real-time, clear look at your sales and refunds, unit quantities sold, and automatic inventory impacts, so you can track how your products or services are performing without any guesswork.

To view this data, click on Reporting from the left-hand navigation menu and select the Product Sales tab.


What features does it have?


The Product Sales tab transforms your raw item data into actionable insights so you can make smart purchasing and pricing decisions. This page allows you to track:

  • Sales and refunds: View the total gross revenue generated by specific items alongside any refund volumes associated with them.

  • Quantities sold: Keep tabs on the exact unit volumes moving out the door to identify your highest-demand offerings.

  • Inventory impact: If you have inventory tracking enabled in your account, this report shows the real-time impact on your stock levels as items are purchased or returned.

How do I use the Product Sales page?


This page includes a powerful set of tools to help you filter your inventory data, customize your table layout, and export your records.

Filtering and searching your products

When you are analyzing your stock quantities, you don't have to scroll through your entire catalog. You can narrow down your results using the quick filters, advanced filters, or the search bar.

  • Using quick filters: For fast access, use the dedicated Date Range and Product Name buttons located right at the top of your report to instantly isolate your data.

  • Using advanced filters: Click the All Filters button to open a panel containing five distinct filtering options to help you customize your view:

    • Date Range: Filter your performance history using convenient presets like Last Week, Last Month, and Last 3 Months, or select custom start and end dates on the calendar.

    • Product Name: Isolate the sales, refunds, and quantities for a specific item or service in your catalog.

    • Category: Group your report by broader inventory categories to see which departments are driving the most revenue.

    • Subcategory: Drill down into specific subsections of your inventory for a more granular look at your product performance.

    • Brand: Filter your data by specific manufacturers or brands to see which labels your customers prefer.

  • Using the search bar: Head to the top right corner of the page to search instantly. You can type in a specific item name, SKU, or product category to find a match.

Customizing your table layout

Every business prioritizes different inventory metrics. You can adjust your table columns and screen layout by clicking the column customization button. This tool allows you to check or uncheck specific data fields so your report only displays the information that matters most to your day-to-day operations.

Exporting your data

If you need to hand off your numbers to an accountant or build your own spreadsheet:

  1. Set your desired date filters.

  2. Click the Download button.

  3. Your system will instantly generate a .csv file containing all your filtered product sales data.

FAQs


Does a refund automatically add an item back into my active inventory count?

Yes, if you have inventory tracking enabled. When a refund is successfully processed, the system logs the transaction and automatically adjusts your stock levels to reflect the returned item.

Can I filter this report to see services instead of physical products?

Absolutely. If you bill for labor, hourly rates, or consulting services through Helcim, you can use the Product Name filter or the search bar to isolate those specific service line items.
