The Helcim Smart Terminal comes with our powerful POS software included, so there are no separate monthly fees for using the software or accessing its features.

What variations of the Smart Terminal are there?


We currently have two variations of the Helcim Smart Terminal in circulation: the 1st generation model (white) and the recently released 2nd generation model (black).

All new orders for the Smart Terminal will be fulfilled with the 2nd Generation model.

Rest assured, the Helcim POS software that runs on both versions of the terminal is the same, so your core payment and business management experience remains consistent across models.

How do I get the Helcim Smart Terminal?


Getting started with the Helcim Smart Terminal is easy. Here's a quick guide to help you through the process:

  1. Sign up for a  free Helcim account: If you don't already have an account, you'll need to create one to access the Helcim Store.

  2. Go to the Helcim Store: You can find the equipment store by navigating to All Tools > My Business > Equipment in your Helcim account.

  3. Order your Smart Terminal:

    • Click on Order New Equipment to open the store.

    • Select and add the Helcim Smart Terminal to your order, then proceed to checkout.

    • Enter your shipping and payment information to finalize your purchase.

We work hard to ship your Helcim Smart Terminal to you as quickly as possible. You can typically expect it to arrive within 3-5 business days, though shipping may take up to 7 business days for some U.S. and Canadian locations.

What type of payment methods can I accept with Helcim Smart Terminal?

The Smart Terminal supports credit and debit cards via tap or chip & PIN. It accepts major card brands including Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express.

The Smart Terminal is also capable of manual card entry payments, and works with mobile payments such as Google Pay and Apple Pay.

Additionally, you can link invoices from your Helcim account and manually process them through the Helcim Smart Terminal.  

Do I need to link the Helcim Smart Terminal with another device in order to use it?

No, you do not need to link it. The Helcim Smart Terminal can be used as a stand-alone device for taking payments, managing your business, and printing receipts.

However, if you prefer a desktop environment, you can connect it to the Helcim POS App on your computer to use it as a dedicated card reader.

Is there warranty for the Smart Terminal?
